I have to say, "Restart" was one of my favorite books this year.

By bestselling author, Gordon Korman, comes "Restart," his third standalone novel. I love Korman books for their AMAZING plot! In this one, Chase loses his memory via amnesia, and does not remember anything, or anyone prior to the day he woke up in his hospital bed surrounded by strangers. He comes to find out that he was the star of the football team, Most popular kid in school, and the meanest. He found out he was a bully to everyone, including Joel, who he bullied out of town. He comes to realize that he has a clean slate, and has a chance to change from his old lifestyle. He has a chance to "Restart." Hence the subtitle, "Lose your memory, find your life." The plot thickens and thickens right up to the action packed end. In this feel-good novel, a kid gets a second chance to start life over. What I like is that the perspective changes from character to character. Neatly showing almost everyone's thoughts and views. The wording is mediocre, as you would expect for a kids book. But the plot is excellent, Crazy excellent. It doesn't have very much action, but it's okay. The ending is not expected, and the characters are very well defined, each with their own view on Chase. I give it a 8.6 overall

I dunnno... too similar to Blank Mastermind for me.
